Ballet & Skating

The Dayton Flyers (my alma mater) made it to the big tournament this year. It was really fun to watch them make it all the way to the elite 8! I even let Claire keep an eye on the score for me while I read Kyle a book one night. She was thrilled to have an iPad in her bed. I may be regretting that soon when she asks for it again.

Saturday morning was Claire's last ballet class for the session. They did a little recital for all the parents. So cute!

Later in the day we met some friends to try roller skating. Claire was terrified, but got the hang of it with the help of a little push cart. I don't remember those when I was a kid, but man are they a lifesaver. We didn't plan on renting skates for Kyle, but he let us know he wouldn't have it any other way. This lasted maybe 5 minutes. Oh well.

Kyle pretended to play video games for a while and then discovered a cool climbing play area.

Weekends

Claire enjoyed a sleepover at Nana Kathleen and Papa Dave's two weekends ago. She and her cousin Lydia had lots of fun. They took the girls out to dinner and played at the house until we came to get her on Sunday. They even fed us when we got there:)

It felt a little odd to just have one child with us. But we made the best of it. We took Kyle out for breakfast. He loves coffee;)

And made a Target run. Easter is coming, you know.

We may have bought him some toy airplanes from his favorite movie, Planes.

This weekend was pretty straight forward. Caught up on errands, cleaned and hung out together. Claire had ballet class and had a friend over on Sunday.

We played outside for a bit, but man am I ready for warmer weather. Snow pants and mittens in March are overrated.

Big Boy Bed

We took Kyle to his first theater movie recently. We met some friends and ended up in the very front row, but it turned out to be great. He sat through almost all of it and had some floor space to run when he couldn't sit any longer.

Kyle graduated to a big boy bed this weekend. He had one last romp while we waited for the mattress delivery Saturday morning.

Claire is super excited that Kyle's bed is right next to hers now. She has been little Miss Helpful.

And Nana barb made Kyle an awesome sock monkey pillow case. He seemed to like it:)
