Bustling Weekend

We really seemed to pack things in this weekend. Friday night was a birthday dinner for cousin Lucy. And Saturday morning, we headed to the zoo with Aunt Mimi. Apparently the warm weather gave everyone the same idea, because the line to get in was super long. We had a fun time looking at the animals and feeding the goats. It was great to have Aunt Mimi there so we outnumbered the kids:)

Claire didn't even mind this goat gnawing on her whole hand!
Spencer stayed at a friend's house after prom with about 10 other kids. We were invited to breakfast the next morning at the house, so we packed everyone up and headed over. The kids were hanging out in their pjs outside as they filled us in on the events from the night before. We were the only parents who showed up, but it was still nice to see the group.

We stopped at a park on the way home and played in the comfortable morning shade.

Kyle is doing great in his excersaucer. He can hold himself up pretty well and he loves to look at all the colorful toys.

We also got out the pool Sunday and enjoyed the warm weather. The water never got very warm, however it was refreshing to dip our feet in.

Almost

Kyle is so close to rolling over. I really thought it would happen this weekend. Here is a video of a few attempts. He's started sleeping on his side with this new found skill as well.

Prom 2012

Spencer attended his junior prom this past Saturday. He went with a great group of friends and reportedly had a fun time. The went all out with a limo and a fancy catered dinner at the botanical gardens. His prom sounds a lot more fancy than mine, as we had just a dance in our high school gym.

Lucian took some great photos of the kids at a park near the lake beforehand. Following tradition, I pinned Spencer's boutonniere. It's a handy skill to have.
Spencer's date was his friend Veronica. Good looking kids:)

Sassy Claire

Here are the shots of Claire that Lucian took last weekend. You can definitely see some of her spunk in these shots. This little girl keeps us on our toes, that's for sure.

The reason we went to Lucian's office in the first place was to pick up this lovely vehicle. The agency works on the Can-am account and they have a number of toys employees can check out. This beauty was ours for the week. Claire got to sit on in the driveway.
On our way home (I was following Lucian in the van with the kids) Lucian pulled over at a park that Claire was asking to stop at in the van. He must have sensed it. She loved this slide and had a fun time running around.

4 Months

Kyle had his 4-month check up last week.  The doctor was not at all surprised by the amount of hair he has given his experience with Claire. He is a healthy, happy boy. Here are his stats:

Height: 27" (98%)
Weight: 16lb. 5oz. (75%)
Head circumference: 43cm. (90%)

We stopped in the work studio this past weekend and did a few quick shots of the kids. Here's our strong guy.

National Honor Society

We are so proud of Spencer who was inducted into the National Honor Society last night for his high school academic performance and accomplishments. We were also amazed that both little ones remained relatively quiet and well behaved through a dinner and awards ceremony. Way to go Spen!

Visitors

Nana Barb and Papa Joe came to visit a few weekends ago while Lucian and Spencer went up north to the family hunting cabin. It was especially nice to have two people around whose job it was to play with my kids.

Claire showed Papa her favorite movie; Cinderella.

Kyle got some tummy time. He's so strong:)

Claire made us breakfast.

I also made breakfast, my new favorite dish; Challah french toast with bananas, strawberries and coconut flakes. It is delicious.

Claire thought so too.

And we have Orioles! We put out oranges and grape jelly to keep the birds happy as they migrate through.
